Warranty & Repairs
At Created Brilliance, we take pride in crafting jewellery of exceptional quality and are confident in the workmanship of our products.
For this reason, we offer a 2-year manufacturing warranty on all jewellery purchased directly through our official website.
This warranty applies from the original date of purchase and covers manufacturing defects relating to materials or workmanship under normal intended use.
What Does the Warranty Cover?
If your jewellery develops a fault caused by a manufacturing defect within the 2-year warranty period, we will assess the item and, where appropriate, repair or replace it at no cost to you.
Examples of manufacturing defects may include:
- structural faults caused during production
- defective clasps, settings or fittings
- manufacturing-related stone setting issues
- workmanship defects identified during normal wear
All warranty claims are subject to inspection by our team.
Products Purchased from Third-Party Retailers
This warranty applies only to products purchased directly through the official Created Brilliance website.
Products purchased through third-party retailers, marketplaces or authorised stockists may be subject to separate warranty terms provided by the retailer. We recommend contacting the original retailer directly regarding warranty support for these purchases.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
If you believe your jewellery has developed a manufacturing defect, please contact our customer care team to arrange an assessment.
Once the item has been received, we will carry out an inspection to determine whether the issue falls within the terms of the warranty.
- If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, the item will be repaired or replaced at no cost where possible.
- If the issue falls outside the warranty coverage, we will provide a repair quotation before any work is carried out.
Important Information Regarding Repairs
Any repair, resizing or modification carried out by a third party not authorised by Created Brilliance may void this warranty.
To help preserve the integrity of your jewellery and maintain warranty eligibility, we recommend contacting us before arranging external repairs or alterations.
Warranty Exclusions
The warranty does not cover:
- normal wear and tear
- accidental damage
- misuse or improper handling
- loss, theft or disappearance
- gradual wear of precious metals
- surface scratching or dents from everyday wear
- tarnishing or discoloration caused by chemicals, cosmetics or environmental exposure
- damage caused by impact or excessive force
- bent, worn or damaged claws/prongs resulting from regular wear
- loss of gemstones
- damage resulting from neglecting recommended maintenance or repairs
- unauthorised alterations or third-party repairs
Fine Jewellery & Everyday Wear
Fine jewellery naturally experiences wear over time, particularly rings and pieces worn daily.
Certain elements, including claws, settings and precious metal surfaces, may gradually wear through regular use and may require periodic maintenance to help preserve the security and longevity of the piece.
This natural wear is not considered a manufacturing defect.
Jewellery Care Recommendations
To help maintain your jewellery over time, we recommend:
- avoiding exposure to harsh chemicals, perfumes and cleaning products
- removing jewellery before swimming, exercising or heavy manual activity
- storing jewellery separately to minimise scratching
- avoiding impact against hard surfaces
- arranging periodic inspections for settings and claws where appropriate
Further information can be found in our Jewellery Care & Product Information page.
Repairs Outside Warranty
We understand jewellery can occasionally require maintenance outside warranty coverage.
Where possible, we may offer repair services for issues not covered under the warranty, subject to assessment and quotation.
Insurance
For high-value jewellery items, we strongly recommend obtaining specialist jewellery insurance to protect against accidental loss, theft and accidental damage.
Insurance arrangements and coverage remain the responsibility of the customer.
